Journey to the Heart: A Bhakti Vinyasa Yoga Retreat on Lake Atitlán
Date: February 1-8th, 2020
Location: Lake Atitlán, Guatemala
Are you ready to take a voyage to one of the most mystical and magical places on Earth?
Lake Atitlán is believed by the Mayans to be the center of the universe. Alexander von Humboldt called it "the most beautiful lake in the world." Surrounded by a dozen highly preserved Mayan villages and 3 dormant volcanoes, Atitlán is the perfect setting to ignite the fires of transformation and ground into a profound state of calm.
We'll share magical morning meditations as tranquil and reflective as the lake itself. We'll practice dynamic and devotional Bhakti vinyasa yoga, rooted in alignment, technique, grit, and gratitude. We'll sing, chant, sweat, flow, laugh like children, sleep like babies, and maybe shed a tear. We'll humbly explore the culture of local villages with guided excursions, support verified fair trade organizations for local artists, and take in a few majestic hikes to witness a sunrise and sunset like never before. You'll have plenty of free time to enjoy walks along the lake, sweat in the wood-fired sauna, soak in the solar-powered hot tub, drop into solitude, or connect with new friends.
Reset. Rejuvenate. Reignite. Join us on a journey to the heart!
