SUFI SOUL SANGEET is a unique collaboration of musicians who share the beauty & art of authentic Eastern devotional music . Combining passionate song, sophisticated melodies & rhythmic tabla beats, the ensemble have performed in Australia, Bali, India and America.
TAHIR QAWWAL is well known throughout the world for performing traditional Sufi music with qawwali group Fanna-Fi-Allah. A remarkable singer & harmonium player, he has trained with incredible masters of classical music in India and Pakistan. He also teaches vocal music and harmonium, privately & via workshops (recently for senior yoga teacher Dena Kingsberg).
He is joined by his beloved partner & student Bhairavi Devi (vocals) and young master tabla player Nilan Chaudri. The son of Maestro Swapan Chaudhuri and a disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Nilan has spent his entire life immersed in the tradition of Indian Classical Percussion. He has shared the stage with stars of Indian Classical Music including Alam Khan, Ramesh Misra, and Amjad Ali Khan at many prestigious venues.
