What kind of yoga I teach: Gentle Flow, Restorative, Meditation, Pranayama and Yoga Philosophy.
My mantra these days: "This to Shall Pass."
A posture that has been resonating with me lately is: Fish Pose. It is both a vaccine and an antidote to the evening news.
How I like to practice yoga off the mat: I don’t do well with complexity so I reflect daily on four simple questions—two each morning and two each each night:
How will I ease suffering to at least one being today?
How will I bring joy to at least one being today?
How did I ease suffering to at least one being today?
How did I bring joy to at least one being today?
Favorite way to celebrate the winter: I’m a big fan of simple, austere living, so each winter I focus on clearing out and organizing. It’s amazing how that helps me to deepen my yoga on and off the mat.
My sign: Aquarius
The last book I read was: Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert B. Cialdini PhD. I was amazed at how many times per day I find people influencing my decisions without my even knowing it.
Favorite local juice/tea spot: Réveille Coffee Co. in the Castro.
Where I go for a nourishing meal: I have been having a love affair with the salad bowls at Souvla recently.
What’s on your yoga playlist right now: I love Ryan Brewer’s album “Kirtan: Yoga for the Heart.”
A few of my favorite yoga teachers are: My son Jaden teaches me more than any Guru I’ve encountered. . . .
