This festival will even feature one of the youngest (8) and oldest (92) yoga teachers in the world!
Two: Setting a World Record for the World’s First and Largest Aum Circle
The festival is located only a few miles from Mexico. In fact, you can see Mexico from the beach location! While many are trying to build a bigger wall, they are asking everyone to come together to tear down any walls around our heart built on fear and celebrate humanity. The closing ceremony is free and open to the public. Research shows 7,000 meditating together cuts world terrorism by 72%! Help us reach this goal of meditating with 7,000 people right on the beach (a few miles from the wall!) AUMING (the sound of unity) 108 times (the number of oneness) as the sunsets. Nothing has ever been done like this before and so we are setting a world record in the Guinness World Book Record! Come make a difference with us. Sunday,
Three: Raising $88k to fund 108 new yoga teachers in San Diego by December 2018
Years ago, the founder of the yoga festival emptied her bank account to take a yoga teacher training. Imagine if she didn't take that risk. This epic festival in this form would not exist today! So many inspiring people want to be yoga teachers and healers, but cannot afford a training. San Diego Yoga Festival in collaboration with Yoga With Shawna have donated over $11,000 in yoga and Reiki scholarships in 2017: help us continue to fund future yoga teachers and healers.
This year they set their goal to raising $88,000 awarding partial scholarships to 108 people to bring 108 new teachers to this world. More yoga teachers means opportunities for more health, wellness and peace. As a thank you, anyone who donates will get a special SDYF gift! You can donate here. You can read about their movement, 108 Yoga Teachers, here.
