Kundalini Morning Chants: Jaya Lakshmi And Ananda

Kundalini Morning Chants: Jaya Lakshmi And Ananda

By SF Yoga Mag

continue to inspire me with their music. It was an absolute honor to receive their newest album, Kundalini Morning Chants, for review.

Included in the album are informative notes about the mantras, with translations and additional information. The first six mantras are collectively titled the "Aquarian Sadhana." The notes say that these mantras were chosen and sequenced by Yoga Bhajan. "Together," the notes add, "they form the cornerstone of Kundalini Yoga practice and provide the focus for the 62-minute meditation in the quiet hours of the morning just before sunrise." The notes go on to say that "each mantra connects with and activates a particular facet of the soul, bringing healing, balance, and deep remembrance of one’s Sat Nam, or true nature."

As I imagined, I fell in love with their music all over again with this new album. I listened to this album during my morning sadhana practice each day this week and I felt a whole new sense of peace. This music is absolutely perfect for a morning practice, as it somehow got me into an even deeper grounded state this entire week. I also brought this music with me during my walking meditations. It seemed as if my walks lasted longer and once again I felt an even deeper sense of peace after listening to this music. The album’s title is “Invoking The Energy of Creation.” I have been setting intentions each day this week around this theme. I have been overwhelmed with the opportunities that have come my way this week, and I can not help but think it is because I have been setting these intentions and diving deep into this music with my current meditations. These chants are super powerful and they can truly help in bringing us into our truth. This week has been magical!

I also loved, that included in the album are notes about the mantras. Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda have each mantra written out, with translations and additional information on all of mantras.

I teach Kundalini and Vinyasa yoga - and I use Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda’s music for all of my classes. It is safe to say that in 90% of my classes, I get asked about their music. I am excited to bring in Kundalini Morning Chants to one of my morning Kundalini classes next week.
