Rise And Shine: The DayBreaker Movement

Rise And Shine: The DayBreaker Movement

By Tawnya Schultz

Yoga, dancing and a casual Bay boat cruise sounds like a nice day, but what if you could do it all before 9 a.m.? The DayBreaker crew makes it a reality, bringing a community of energetic, eccentric and enthusiastic souls together for an unforgettable morning.

On a Friday in February, as dawn broke on the glistening Bay, we set sail on the high seas on the infamous Hornblower with a thousand new friends. We would embark on a two hour cruise beginning with a rise and shine yoga sesh and followed by a DJ dance party. The all-ages event brought people from every side of the city and gave new meaning to morning ritual.

After an awesome stretch and awakening yoga series, breakfast and coffee were served including tastings from various sponsors of the event. The music was starting to bump upstairs and the dance party had officially begun. The Space Cowboys got the party rockin’ as we cruised through the water with the city skyline and Golden Gate bridge in the distance. The weather was absolutely stunning and it was such a blissful experience to be on the water, dancing our faces off with hundreds of other smiling faces so early in the morning. There were people in yoga clothes, others in costumes and some in work attire ready to hit the office afterwards. What a way to spend a morning!

Don’t miss the next DayBreaker party in a town near you. Stay up to date on this morning movement at dybrkr.com. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience like no other.
